The Team

The development team is a joint venture between Elm Street Development and Montgomery Housing Partnership. The joint venture provides the expertise of one of the area's largest and most successful residential real estate developers with an affordable housing developer who has built over 1,000 units.

Elm Street Development has been building communities throughout the Washington region for over 30 years.  During that time, they have created over 144 communities of all sizes and types and 55 additional communities are currently in the planning or development stages.  Elm Street Development has built numerous communities in Montgomery County and has been one of the leading participants in the County’s Moderately Priced Dwelling Unit (MPDU) program.

Elm Street Development has been awarded Developer of the Year by the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association for ten consecutive years from 2000 to 2009.  Elm Street Development has been recognized with numerous developer and environmental awards for projects in the Maryland and Virginia area.

Montgomery Housing Partnership, Inc. is the largest nonprofit housing developer in Montgomery County and has developed over 1,165 units of housing since 1989.  MHP uses a unique, holistic approach by not only providing affordable housing, but also providing educational programs that enable residents to successfully reach the next level of economic stability.

MHP has been offering homeownership opportunities to residents who are knowledgeable and financially prepared to assume this responsibility.  MHP offers an Individual Development Account (IDA) program that instills financial literacy, provides homeownership counseling, and creates incentives for residents to save toward purchasing a home.  The Housing Association of Non-Profit Developers (HAND) awarded MHP the 2007 Innovation Award for this successful program.
